I do believe that is one Michael Porter……#magicmike anyone?
Moving swiftly on……
Do you remember that Sky One show “Don’t stop me now”? Well it seems our very own Rory O’Hanlon made an appearance on it….and here’s the proof
So yeah if you’re ginger it appears he loves ye!
Now for some tweets….someone needs to calm down (or don’t! cos it’s funny!)
I was in jeopardy of losing my voice entirely. If u can’t understand that, your mother’s a WHORE!!!!”

Right so….
With the Rose of Tralee on this week, it got me thinking…..there’s only guy I would want to see present it….

We’ve all been there….haven’t we? No….just me then?
And finally for today……
Without that little voice in your head, you wouldn’t be able to read this.

Edinburgh 2012 – The Latest Round up!

So as ye know by now we here at the Comedy Scoop can’t be at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in person this year so we have decided to give you a taste of the festival from afar!
We have gathered some of the reviews/pictures/tweets and bits and bobs from the festival for you to enjoy!
First up let’s look at where you can get some reviews for the very many shows that are happening around the city!
Three weeks are a force to be reckoned with over at Edinburgh….they take no prisoners! Their reviews can be found here and here! They make for interesting reading….!
Also giving extensive coverage of the Fringe are Broadway Baby. Manned by a team of three their coverage is wide and varying. You can follow them on Twitter here and their website is www.Broadwaybaby.com
It seems Edinburgh makes you a little bit crazy….
I just spent 25 mins pacing around trying to decide if I was hungry enough for lunch yet or not. That’s what Edinburgh does to your brain.

Seems that there is no one these guys won’t try to get into their shows! (Rob Coyle pictured with his back to us!)
Hmm seems that living together for a month can have it’s disadvantages too….
House rules been introduced first One @dannyobrien27 banned from wearing tight boxershorts Rule seconded by @brownetj
-@rohanloncomedy
Some people go to extreme lengths to promote their shows…..

Robbie Bonham – hmm extreme lengths me thinks?
And finally….I know I have posted this before but just in case you havent gone over yet… here are some tips from a veteran Fringe going lover! If you need any advice it’s sure to be in here!
So there you have it, seems like it’s lots of fun in Edinburgh at the moment! Oh and apparently the sun is shining too! If you are heading over don’t forget to let us know what you are looking forward to seeing/doing!
Also check out the site next week for some chats with some of the many many comedians who are over in Edinburgh at the moment!

10 Days in Dublin – The comedy collection pt4
Time for another instalment from the extensive comedy line up at the 10Days in Dublin festival 5th-14th July 2012… hmm, who to share with you this time?!?
Ok so let’s start this post off with the very popular Rory O’Hanlon. Rory is taking to the stage with his new show ‘The Procrastinator’ in The International Bar on Wed11th @ 6.30pm. Well-known both around the Irish comedy scene and in the U.K. Rory is a rising star who’s well worth going to see. Described on the 10days website “The Procratinator is Dublin comedian Rory O’Hanlon one man solo show. We all do it, spend most of our days telling ourselves what were going to do, set up your own business, go on that dream holiday ,ask out your ideal partner ,study hard for that exam ,but more than likely never get around to doing it, well lets just say you did do it and it still hasn’t worked out for you well now that’s a different story there is only one thing you can do there ,that’s to write it all down and perform it in a your favourite comedy room in your favourite city so that’s what Dublin stand up comedian Rory O’Hanlon is going to do” If hilarious observational comedy and autobiographical storytelling is your preferred stand-up style you’ll love Rory, and you’ll love the €5 ticket charge too! And we have good news for you we’ve nabbed a pair of tickets for one lucky sod to enjoy the show for free! Make us smile in an email and they’re all yours competitions@thecomedyscoop.com
Fancy seeing a female comedian for a change? Well there’s two for the price of one in The Twisted Pepper on Thurs 12th @7.30pm in ‘Jaffa Cakes’. An unusual name for a show I’m sure you’ll agree, so what’s it all about? 10days tell us “Pianist-guitarist Valerie Lynch and Harpist-Spoonist Christiane O Mahony sing about mental illness, unrequited love and root vegetables; between them the have kept a balcony lettuce plant alive for two weeks, vote no in the fiscal treaty so that their lettuce can grow up to be healthy and strong and not be turned into a tin of sauerkraut by that minx Merkel. Voted the hottest women in comedy* these witty wenches won’t disappoint. *based on a survey conducted in McDonald’s a 3 am; a young man who was passed out into a McFlurry, who had never attended a comedy club, said so. “ Hmm, sounds like two very interesting ladies are running the show and at only €5 it has to be worth a look-see!
