Tonight you can see Republic of Telly’s Bernard O’Shea for peanuts thanks to those generous folks in Galway’s Róisín Dubh, what’s not to like about that?
Bernard’s television credits include RTE’s Republic of Telly, The Liffey Laugh, Naked Camera, Just for Laughs, Paramount “The World Stands Up” and The BBC’s Newcomer Awards.
“The depth of his freewheeling comic talent is obvious” The Sunday Times (Britain and Ireland)

Living beyond The Pale and feeling a little neglected on the comedy front? Well tonight Corkonians will see a stellar line-up of funny folks taking over The LV once again
The absolutely fantastic Niamh Marron is your headliner for the night. Niamh is blisteringly funny. Her high energy and wild performance will have you in stitches.
Niamh was recently came second in the final of the prestigious Funny Women competition, and has appeared in comedy clubs all over Ireland and the UK.
We have a brilliant line-up in support of Niamh on the night. The fantastic Christiane O’Mahony, who was recently on the Late Late Show with Des Bishop, the brilliant Mark Townsend, and the amazing Stephen Quince are all performing on the night with Sean Coughlan as your MC for the evening.
It’s going to be a good ‘un, so get in touch, book with us, and get yourself down to the LV Bar, at 9:30pm on Friday for a fantastic night of comedy.
€5 gets you in and a free jelly shot a the interval!
Where: The LV, Cork
When: TONIGHT Friday 19th 2012
Cost €5 (includes a free jelly shot!)
As this will be my last blog I decided to gather together some of my favourite comedy videos into one post. In no particular order here they are.
First up, some improv from the Princes of Lagos……their command of accents is awesome!
Next, Foil Arms and Hog. It’s an old one but I love these guys!
Anyone that can rap about tea is a good un in my book….step in Doc Brown!
Headliner for the evening Colum McDonnell has gigged all over the place. He’s been on The Savage Eye, Podge and Rodge and here he is on The World Stands Up on Comedy Central.
Unlike the Irish soccer team, Colum’s comedy is effortless and unlike their passes, his jokes don’t go sailing over your head leaving you baffled and angry. They are perfectly measured flighted gems that you can take easily (unless your touch is shit)
Joining Colum is Neil Hickey. Neil was on TV on The Liffey Laughs back in 2005, then took a break from comedy for a few years. He appears to have used that time to fill his head with surreal, smart, stories and jokes. His last appearance at Inn Jokes was one of those magical evenings where, when he paused at the end of joke a hyperventilating-with-laughter audience mentally made a note to thank him for the chance to breathe.
Our opening act will be Niamh Marron who also was a firm favourite with the Inn Jokes crowd when she played a year ago. Coming from the fertile comedy pastures of Monaghan, Niamh is an exciting, hilarious and energetic performer and is making waves. Less than a week after Inn Jokes she heads to London to take part in the UK and Ireland Funny women final so she’ll be in flying form (although careful to avoid any last minute metatarsal injuries)
There’ll also be a short slot from Tiny James.
Your host is Colm O’Regan.
Our Fathers is a night of comedy in aid of The Dublin Simon Community. Here some of Dublin’s finest will do what they do best….use a loved one to make great material of course! Tonight on stage you can expect to see, Niamh Marron, Neil Hickey, Fred Cooke, Colin Chadwick, Ruthe Phoenix and Carol Tobin and your MC for the night will be the fantastic Edwin Sammon! All this followed by Stephanie Tobin on the decks till late. Sure why wouldn’t you want to go along? All proceeds go to charity.
Where: The Workmans Club
When: Sunday June 17th (that’s today!!)
Cost: €5 (all proceeds go to charity)
