Finally we just had to share some videos of comedians we got to see this week:

First up we have the hilarious Steve Cummins and the slightly shouty but funny Josh Howie and just for good measure the rising star Rory O’Hanlon

So there I was sitting at home on Friday, feeling jealous as one half of the Scoop was off to Whelan’s, so I decided I was gonna head in to the Laughter Lounge. They had a cracking line up. Simon O’Keefe, Rory O’Hanlon, Christian Talbot was doing a quick 3 minute set for an FM 104 competition and the amazing Steve Cummins was MC’ing the night.

 

The Laughter Lounge is a venue with a difference. Everyone arrived to the venue in all their finery, dressed up for a night out. I don’t see that very often in other comedy clubs. They also have what is the oddest and also the funniest stamp I have seen to date! (See picture) The audience come looking for a good time, which it being a comedy club is a definitely a good thing! There is a buzz about the room right until the moment when it is announced that the MC is coming on stage…..And then Steve Cummins approaches….

 

I have never seen a man more able to silence a room than Steve Cummins. Steve’s chatty nature on stage endears the audience to him, that is until you heckle him! Steve’s bio on the Laughter Lounge website says “Hecklers beware”, why would you heckle this man? He is certainly the best at giving it back and I am now fairly sure he could give classes in it! Can you imagine the carnage? His ability to control a room and make them laugh out loud hysterically is astounding.
