Totally Wired brought their Reunion, Farewell, Welfare tour to the Academy last Saturday 26^th May and I was there to see what kind of crazy antics this energetic duo would inflict upon their audience. This was not my first time to see Emmet and Lorcan perform their unique brand of ‘muse-omedy’ (they were finalists in the IMCA’s and are regulars around the Dublin comedy scene) so I knew to expect lots of clever songs with hilarious lyrics and I was not disappointed!

It’s a pity the lads didn’t manage to fill the venue but they didn’t let the empty seats deter then from pumping their show full of just as much energy and enthusiasm as they usually have. The night began with a guest spot from ‘The Boston Asals’, a somewhat familiar looking duo, whose traditional Irish songs had the audience laughing out loud from the beginning of their set. Perhaps it’s just because of my culchie roots but I was particularly in stitches throughout the very catchy, and apt, ‘Feck You’; genius!
