Event – Trinity Fringe Festival 2012

Love your comedy but hate how expensive gigs can be? Well the folks at Trinity have solved that problem with this years Fringe Festival line up…

Tonight you have options;

7PM – Abandoman – Players Theatre – €5
Winners of both Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2010 and The Musical Comedy Awards 2010, Abandoman create hilarious musical sketches at lightning speed live in front of their audience. No two gigs are ever the same. The project sees frontman Rob Broderick and multi-instrumentalist James Hancox reinventing hip hop in a way that appeals to all age groups.
“Flight of the Conchords meets 8 Mile. Nothing short of genius.” – Chortle.co.uk, “Truly innovative” – The Guardian, “Killer punchlines. Note-perfect, lyrically mind-blowing hip-hop improv. Genius!” – The Stage

9PM – Jarlath Regan – Players Theatre – €5
Jarlath Regan dreamed of being a professional basketball player but shelved the ambition due to a combination of injuries and on the early on-set of “cop on”. The NBA’s loss has been stand-up comedy’s gain, and in the following years he has gained a reputation with the industry and audiences for his uplifting, inventive and relentlessly funny stand-up.
***** ‘Hilarious change of pace’ (Independent). **** ‘Side-splitting stuff’ (Metro). ***** ‘Subtle yet sublime helping of observational wit’ (Herald).
