There will be plenty of Galwayites rejoicing when they discover that the Róisín Dubh will once again play host to Brand Spanking New. The show which boasts “Brand Spanking New talent & new material from Ireland’s best comedians” is hosted by Danny Dowling (TV3′s Come Dine With Me) and the line up for Wednesday 21st is a cracker!  Headlining the show is Cork native Chris Kent, currently being described as the Future of Irish Comedy. Chris has returned to the Roisin Dubh with a very full year of gigs in 2012. From Kilkenny to America to the UK and Edinburgh, Chris has raked up an impressive line up of gigs festivals and TV appearances. Living beyond The Pale and feeling a little neglected on the comedy front? Well tonight Corkonians will see a stellar line-up of funny folks taking over The LV once again

The absolutely fantastic Niamh Marron is your headliner for the night. Niamh is blisteringly funny. Her high energy and wild performance will have you in stitches.

Niamh was  recently came second in the final of the prestigious Funny Women competition, and has appeared in comedy clubs all over Ireland and the UK.

We have a brilliant line-up in support of Niamh on the night. The fantastic Christiane O’Mahony, who was recently on the Late Late Show with Des Bishop, the brilliant Mark Townsend, and the amazing Stephen Quince are all performing on the night with Sean Coughlan as your MC for the evening.

I know what you’re thinking ‘Surely we can’t still have comedy acts to list from the 10days in Dublin festival?’ Well you’re wrong we do because the festival is completely chok-a-bloc with comedic talent and we don’t want you to miss a second of it!

If that sounds like something you might be into, check this out –“ GameBoys is the debut show from Kevin Lockhard and David Reilly. They’ll be taking to the stage in The International Bar on Thurs12th @6.30pm. A familiar face on the Dublin comedy scene, Gerry Mc Bride will be taking his show ‘Straight Outta Monaghan’ to The International Bar on Thursday 5^th @6.30pm. Described by 10days as “A refreshing and hilarious look at life in modern Ireland, Straight Outta Monaghan is the first Solo Show from Tedfest award-winning comedian Gerry McBride. You are now about to witness the strength of Stoney Grey Soil knowledge.” Gerry is bound to have you rolling in the aisles with laughter. And for just €5 you’d be mad to miss his debut solo show!

Time for another instalment from the extensive comedy line up at the 10Days in Dublin festival 5^th-14^th July 2012… hmm, who to share with you this time?!?

Ok so let’s start this post off with the very popular Rory O’Hanlon. Rory is taking to the stage with his new show ‘The Procrastinator’ in The International Bar on Wed11th @ 6.30pm. Well-known both around the Irish comedy scene and in the U.K. Rory is a rising star who’s well worth going to see.  Described on the 10days website “The Procratinator is Dublin comedian Rory O’Hanlon one man solo show. We all do it, spend most of our days telling ourselves what were going to do, set up your own business, go on that dream holiday ,ask out your ideal partner ,study hard for that exam ,but more than likely never get around to doing it, well lets just say you did do it and it still hasn’t worked out for you well now that’s a different story there is only one thing you can do there ,that’s to write it all down and perform it in a your favourite comedy room in your favourite city so that’s what Dublin stand up comedian Rory O’Hanlon is going to do” If  hilarious observational comedy and autobiographical storytelling is your preferred stand-up style you’ll love Rory, and you’ll love the €5 ticket charge too! Fancy seeing a female comedian for a change? Well there’s two for the price of one in The Twisted Pepper on Thurs 12^th @7.30pm in ‘Jaffa Cakes’. An unusual name for a show I’m sure you’ll agree, so what’s it all about? 10days tell us “Pianist-guitarist Valerie Lynch and Harpist-Spoonist Christiane O Mahony sing about mental illness, unrequited love and root vegetables; between them the have kept a balcony lettuce plant alive for two weeks, vote no in the fiscal treaty so that their lettuce can grow up to be healthy and strong and not be turned into a tin of sauerkraut by that minx Merkel. Voted the hottest women in comedy* these witty wenches won’t disappoint. *based on a survey conducted in McDonald’s a 3 am; a young man who was passed out into a McFlurry, who had never attended a comedy club, said so. “ Hmm, sounds like two very interesting ladies are running the show and at only €5 it has to be worth a look-see!
