If that sounds like something you might be into, check this out –“ GameBoys is the debut show from Kevin Lockhard and David Reilly. They’ll be taking to the stage in The International Bar on Thurs12th @6.30pm. Promising lots of laughs, sketches, and a live video game showdown with guaranteed trash talk all for just €5 how could you possibly justify missing the show! Struggling to find a fiver down the back of the couch?

A familiar face on the Dublin comedy scene, Gerry Mc Bride will be taking his show ‘Straight Outta Monaghan’ to The International Bar on Thursday 5th @6.30pm. Described by 10days as “A refreshing and hilarious look at life in modern Ireland, Straight Outta Monaghan is the first Solo Show from Tedfest award-winning comedian Gerry McBride. You are now about to witness the strength of Stoney Grey Soil knowledge.” Gerry is bound to have you rolling in the aisles with laughter. And for just €5 you’d be mad to miss his debut solo show!
Fancy something a little less stand-upish? How about Gangbusters? This off-the-wall sketch group will take to the stage in The International Bar on Monday 9th @6.30pm. But who are these clever gents you might ask? 10days are happy to supply the answer to that question; “GANGBUSTERS are Giles Brody, Kevin McGahern and Edwin Sammon. Giles is the writer/director of RTE Storyland Finalist Student Teacher, is a founding member of Humourisms.com and does not appreciate youthful sass. Kevin McGahern has appeared as The Man Who Slipped On The Ice (on the internets) and Sim Card in the RTE series Hardy Bucks. He’s dead sound, probably, says people who do not like to give definite opinions but want to appear positive. Edwin Sammon is a comedian who won the Father Ted Fest Comedian of the Year competition in 2011 and has a lovely beard, the kind you could keep a bird in. It’s better than a cage, you bird trapping freak. The show is produced by Damon Blake, producer of RTE Storyland Finalist Student Teacher. His work has appeared on Humourisms.com, Newstalk and RTE.” Sounds set to be a fun and unusual evening’s entertainment doesn’t it? And for only €5 how could you go wrong!
Another duo of stand-up comedians; Christiane O’Mahony and Steve Bennett, join forces in ‘Passion, Pints & Potatoes; An Irish Guide to Life’ which takes to the stage in The Workman’s on Wed11th &Sat14th @6.30pm. 10days tells us that in this show you’ll encounter “two Psychology graduates from the midlands who devoted college time to understanding how their Laois-Offaly upbringing has marred them. They will sing, strum and pluck their way to meaning in life. Come spend time with us. We will tickle you. Not physically, not until the after party at least. Jokes while standing, Sung Words and Fun Moments” Surely that sounds like your cup o’ tea?
