Free Event – Milk & Cookies “The Pursuit of Happiness”

This I must admit is only a new revelation to me (I found out about it last Thursday at an improv gig I was at!) but it looks all kinds of awesome! According to their Facebook Page Milk & Cookies “The Pursuit of Happiness”  is:

for anyone who has a story to tell or wants to hear a tale told well, in a relaxed, friendly environment – a place with tea, cushions, cookies and friends. Our event is free, everyone is welcome and we welcome stories of all kinds.

Doesn’t that just sound kinda cool? Their theme for this month’s story telling venture is happiness obviously….. Tales of sunshine, puppies and other small animals. There is bound to be a laugh or two in there somewhere I reckon!

Special guest for the evening is Mrs Nellie Murphy: a mother, a storyteller a streetseller; who has performed internationally from Burlesque to Bigstage to Bingo to critical acclaim. You can find Nellie this summer in The Bog Cottage at the Body and Soul Festival (with The Spontaneous Theatre People). She’ll also be spinning yarns at Colours Fringe in Galway and The Spirit of Folk Festival. I have it on good authority that she is pretty amazing….

So why not go along and join in the story telling if you are brave enough or just sit back and take it all in (that’s what I am planning to do!) Have a laugh and ye never know what might happen ;) Check their Facebook page for more details!
